Q: What to bring to go surfing?
A: North Pacific Surf takes care of all the essential gear from the Surf boards, rash guards, to even fresh fruit and water, and a first aid kit. The only thing our surfers need to bring is sun screen, a change of clothes, any emergency medications and the readiness to have some fun!
*Don’t want to bring your camera? We have a photographer who takes all the pro shots from when you take your first step in the water to when you catch your first wave. Just remember to let us know when you book your lesson!
Q: What is the best time of day to go surfing?
A: There is a lot that can influence ideal surfing conditions, most importantly, the high and low tides, the type of break (reef, beach), and weather. Contact us for schedules, conditions and for daily surf times.
Q: Is there in age and/or weight limit?
A: In our experience, it is always the people with the most willingness to learn that are the most successful. NPS will provide you with the right board according to weight and height. Young surfers need to be at least 5 years old. Do you have children that want to learn? Read up on our safety and family lesson for more information.
Q: How can I stay safe while surfing?
A: For the beginner surfer, it is most important that you pay attention to your instructor on safety tips during the lesson (how to handle your board in the water, falling off your board, etc.). Your surf instructor will tell you everything you need to know to avoid accidents, however, it is important to remember that the ocean is a great part of Mother Nature and should be respected at all times.
